Where is the render button?
There is no specific key in the context render tab however you can render your scene by pressing F12 or go to Render > Render Image.
Where is removes doubles?
This now known as merge by distance.
Mesh > Clean up > Merge by Distance

Where is the W key from Blender 2.79?
The W key is not missing, in Blender 2.8 this has now become the right-mouse click which lists the common functions.
Where are the layers in Blender 2.8?
The layer system in from Blender 2.79 has been updated with the Outline. This new feature makes it more flexible to build your scene and is not limited to the 20 slots.
Why is my added mesh is not smooth?
In Blender 2.8 it does not auto-apply smooth shading for the common added default objects. This is because this reduces the computing process. You will need to add a smooth shading to these privities.

Does Blender 2.8 support RTX GPU rendering in Cycles?
At this moment RTX is not supported in Blender 2.8. However, the Blender Institute is currently closely working with Nvidia to implement Nvidia OptiX into the backend of Cycles. More details is available on the Blender development blog Accelerating Cycles using NVIDIA RTX.

EEVEE is a new physically based real-time render and is an alternative to Cycles rendering in Blender.
