Blender 2.8 shortcut keys to speed your workflow

Here is a list of Blender 2.8 keymap I commonly use in my workflow. I have set this up as a reminder to help train my muscle memory. Hopefully, it can also be useful for you in learning Blender 2.8 or to transition from other 3D software packages.

Note: Blender 2.8 is still in beta testing, some shortcut key may change with new updates. Since my shortcut list is also getting quite long, try pressing Ctrl F in your web browsers and type in the function you are after in the search field.


Interface:

Change view pop menuPop-up Menu ` (above the tab key)
Camera set as activeViewport Select camera, Ctrl Numpad 0
Camera set to larger frameViewport Select Camera view, Home key (mouse scroll to zoom). N then Lock Camera to View
Collection Create M from the viewport
Expand / Collapse Collection Numpad – or +
Move in two axis G then Shift Z (This moves an object in X and Y direction. Usually when object is on the floor) or G then Shift Y or G then Shift X
Pan Viewport Shift Middle Click
Quick FavouritesPop-up Menu Q (available when it has been setup)
Repeat Last CommandObject & Edit Mode Shift R (Same as the G key in Maya)
SearchPop-up Menu F3
Select GroupShift G (Choose between, Children, Immediate Children, Parent, Siblings, Type, Collection, Hook, Pass, Color, Keying Set and Light Type)
Switch between multiple cameras Select the camera, then Ctrl 0
