How to add a lattice to your mesh in Blender 2.8?
The lattice acts as a cage to your object. It helps you easily to deform your mesh.
1. Add a lattice by pressing Shift A from the keyboard.
2 Select Lattice from the menu.
3. Scale the Lattice to match the size and proportion of the object.
4. Increase your Resolution U V and W to segment the lattice.
This will add loops around your lattice. The more resolution you add the more detail your lattice will be.
5. Select Lattice and go to the Modifiers Tab on the side menu.
6. Click on Add Modifier and select Lattice from the dropdown menu.
7. Under Object select the Lattice you have just created. By default it should be called Lattice.
This step binds the Lattice to your object.
8. Select the Lattice from the viewport and go to edit mode by pressing the Tab on your keyboard.
10. Select the Lattice Vertex (Shortcut 1) and move or scale your lattice.
