How to speed up edit mode selection in Blender 2.8?

How to paint select your vertices, edges or faces?

1. Press the Tab key to get into Edit Mode in Blender.

2. Press the C key from your keyboard.

3. Left Mouse click and drag onto the areas you would like to select.
You can use the mouse scroll wheel to scale brush size.

4. Once your happy with the selection, Right Mouse click to end the paint selection.


How to box select select in edit mode?

1. Press the Tab key to get into Edit Mode in Blender.

2. Press thekey.

3. Simple drag your mouse onto the vertices, edges or faces.


How to do an edge loop select?

1. Press the Tab key to get into Edit Mode in Blender.

2. Vertex (shortcut – 1), Edge (shortcut – 2) or Face (shortcut – 3) selection.

3. Hold onto the Alt key and Left Mouse click on one of the vertex, edge or face.
This will create a loop selection of any flowing vertices, edges or faces.


How to grow your selection from a selected area?

1. Press the Tab key to get into Edit Mode in Blender.

2. Left Mouse click on an area you would like to select.

3. Hold onto the Ctrl key and the press the numpad + or to grow or reduce your selection.


How to select a mesh object when it’s joined or combined?

1. Press the Tab key to get into Edit Mode in Blender.

2. Select either Vertex (shortcut – 1), Edge (shortcut – 2) or Face (shortcut – 3) selection. Only one highlight selection point is required.
The numbers located just under the F Keys and not the Numpad keys

3. Hold down Ctrl L, this will select the region of the mesh object.
