How to use a curve to control your model in Blender 2.8?
This is a simple technique to set your model without rigging stress, can be applied to watch band, ribbon, creating car tyres and more.
1 Make sure your model has enough segments for the deformation. Add a Curve by pressing Shift A. You also can add bezier, circle or path.
2. Position the curve to match your model.
3. Set your Origin to where you would like to hold your starting position.
4. Select your model, then go to the Modifiers tab on the right side panel.
5. Add Modifier and select Curve from the drop down menu.
6. Click on the Object Field and select the curve you have created.
This process binds your curve to your model.
7. On the viewport select the Curve and go to edit mode by pressing the Tab key.
