I have been using Photoshop since version 3 that was way back around 1995. Yes, I’m an old designer fart and still using Photoshop to this day. From the years of experience, these are some of the shortcut keys I use to speed up my workflow. While 2019 and 2018 have slightly different keymaps most will still work on the Creative Cloud edition.
LAYERS:Bring up the layers panel: F7
Move layer up: Ctrl Shift ] (Mac Command Shift ])
Move layer down: Ctrl Shift [ (Mac Command Shift [)
Merge Layers: Ctrl E (Mac Command E)
Lock Layer: Ctrl / (Mac Command /)

This isn’t a new feature in Photoshop 2019 but one that is very useful when you want to remove a thin white line around the edge of your image.
1. Select the layer you wish to remove the white edges around your image.
2. Go to Layer then Matting and select Defringe. (Layer > Matting > Defringe)From experience Remove Black Matte or Remove White Matte doesn’t work very well.

If you have updated to Photoshop 2019 you will have notice the transform tool have changed. What’s wrong, the transform does not conform to the fix ratio when you hold down the shift key? Why Adobe has done this who knows? I might suspect it could be easier for future tablet users or people using track-pads. But then again who uses a track-pad to do Photoshop work.
