The lattice acts as a cage to your object. It helps you easily to deform your mesh.

1. Add a lattice by pressing Shift A from the keyboard.

2 Select Lattice from the menu.

3. Scale the Lattice to match the size and proportion of the object.

4. Increase your Resolution U V and W to segment the lattice.This will add loops around your lattice. The more resolution you add the more detail your lattice will be.

5. Select Lattice and go to the Modifiers Tab on the side menu.

6. Click on Add Modifier and select Lattice from the dropdown menu.
